Can this even be possible?

That I'm actually *happy* about the results of an election?! Both at my local level (not an unusual reaction) and especially at the national level (a very unusual reaction in recent years)?

I'm still a bit in shock that the Democrats have control of the House. I'll be keeping my fingers (& all toes) tightly crossed that the two too-close-to-call senate races remain in the Democrats favor. :)

And my local stuff, someone I know & like & trust won her very tough (& *very* overspent) race for judge. :D
A local income tax measure that would've funded public safety didn't pass by a very narrow margin, and I am rather sad for that. But that's the only downside of a rather fabulous election!

I'm glad for her sons sake that they're very young and will likely remember none of this divorce headache.

And now I get my ass ready for work.

ETA: I'm also VERY VERY happy that a statewide measure to require 48 hour parental notification for 15-17 year old teenage girls who want to get an abortion failed! :D
