I get my computer back!! :)

The wonderful UPS man gave us the RAM that HTB ordered last week.

Now I can finally sit down and write a nice long email to my half-sister, reconcile the checking account, and finally ease my Morrowind & Sims2 cravings!!

::bouncesaround::

In other news, I still need to plan this weekend's annual Mother's Day nursery trip. My mom & I are in a happy habit now of going to a nursery or plant sale Mothers Day weekend, and then I buy her something she wants for her garden for Mother's Day. It's a fun time & I don't have to stress about getting her the wrong thing or agonizing over what to buy her.

In work news every time I think I'm getting ahead some emergency crops up and I find myself further behind. I actually had 2 good days in a row where I was able to catch up on crap and really feel like things were finally getting better. Then more fires arose and I'm trying not to feel buried. It's a LOT better than it was a couple weeks ago but I just want everyone & their emergencies to go away!

In good for me news I managed to not stuff my face with my morning or my afternoon snack and I went for a good half hour walk during my lunch hour.
::pats self on back::
I've got to learn to stop eating when I'm not hungry anymore. And to not eat any more than I really need to. No matter how good it actually tastes. Unless I'm having a low blood sugar crash in which case I need to eat something anyway. Methinks the tricky spot is going to be telling the difference. I also need to always get out and go for a walk at lunch. And also in the evenings after work with HTB (at least until he starts going back to school this fall).

And now...
Time for dindin!

I almost forgot! I'm currently estatic & proud over how brilliant I am for coming up with a solution to our desire to have another reception in the town HTB just moved from.

We're going to stop there for a couple of nights on our way back from our honeymoon, and I figured a good/easy way to have a reception/party with all his friends over there would be to try and rent a meeting room at whatever hotel we choose.

So I made some phone calls on my break at work this afternoon.

At a local Best Western a meeting room that can hold 40 people at tables & chairs goes for $75 for half a day and $150 for a full day. And we can use the room until as late as 10pm (and then clean up after that).

Is VERRRYYYY pleased!!! :D

So I had a huge Sims2 urge to fulfill.

Started back up with my single woman's household, family aspiration. Found an NPC that she got along with, eventually they fell in love and I married them off. They immediately got pregant. Only probably was that the NPC didn't contribute a lot of wealth to the household. So I was only able to manage a minor remodel. I expanded the 2 bedroom 1 bath into a 2 bedroom 2 bath, with a nice & extra large master suite.
The master suite had just enough room in it for a crib & a changing table, and the master bath was quite large. The 2nd bedroom remained empty and would comfortably hold 1 kid's bed and assorted toys.

The remodel cost me all but the last $700 I had.

So of course... I get TWINS!

I managed to buy 2 cribs, but I couldn't afford a changing table. And of course it's the dad's day off so I don't get any money (the mom works and she gets only a hundred & something as a culinary track hostess). And the dad is a knowledge aspiration sim who has a fear of changing diapers!

But twins! Twin boys no less. Mom's named Lucy, dad is Benjamin, and the boys are named Adrian and Braden. I'm thinking about moving one of the boys' crib into the very large master bath so that when one wakes up they don't both wake up.
I'm excited, but scared!
