Fact #1: HTB has gotten only 9 hours sleep in the last 2 nights. (that's total, not each).
Fact #2: HTB has a full 10 hour work day today.
Fact #3: HTB has to drive the nearly 500 miles to drive from there to here... drive tonight. After all day at work... after not enough sleep.
Fact #4: While not technically winter yet, the temperature & presence of snow & ice on the roadways between there & here are all screaming that yes, winter's here.
Fact #5: Tomorrow afternoon we both get to hop in the pickup we're borrowing from my parents, and drive *back* over the icky winter roads from here to there to pack up all his stuff.
Though doing the packing up this weekend means we have the awful back-to-back drive, it also means we get to leave as soon as HTB's interview (at the local university for an absolutely ideal part-time position) is done. The interview's at 1:30, and I'm hoping that we'll be able to hit the road and leave town by 3 or 3:30. If we were to skip the back-to-back drive and do all the packing up next weekend, then we wouldn't be able to leave town until at least 6:30, as we'd have to wait until after HTB got off work at his new job he starts on Monday.
It's not ideal, but at least this way we have a chance of getting back over there before 3am Friday night/Saturday morning.
Then Saturday we get to spend all day packing & cleaning & loading the pickup & trailer that we rented.
And drive *back* over the 500 miles of road (including several snowy mountain passes) on Sunday.
I will be SOOOO glad when this is all done! :)
::massive good thoughts & safe driving vibes for HTB's drive in icky weather tonight on way-too-little sleep::
