Last night, for the 2nd night in a row, I had the wonderful pleasure to wake up every 2 - 3 hours.
Sunday night I thought it was the 12-hour Sudafed I had taken a few hours before bed for a cold I felt coming on.
By Monday afternoon I was damn sure I was getting a cold, but I held off on the Sudafed because I wanted to sleep thankyouverymuch.
My body had other ideas in mind. Like being congested & waking up every couple of hours all damn night. I was tired & crawled into bed around 8:30. I think I feel asleep fairly fast. I woke up for the first time at 10:30, but only for a few minutes. I woke up again shortly after midnight, and couldn't get back to sleep for almost an hour. Then I woke up at 3am or so, but only for a bit. Then again at 5:40 and cursed when I realized I only had 20 more minutes instead of the 5 or 6 more hours I wanted.
I'm not having fun.
This sinus cold can just go away. Right now would be good.
In good news my Birks are back from the repair shop. Nearly $100 clogs when I bought them new *years* ago, and I happily pay $30 to resole them instead of having to buy a new pair.
Eventually replacing the footbed & the soles will no longer be enough and the leather will be in such sad shape that I'll *have* to fork over the big bucks and buy a new pair.
I'm hoping to put that day off as long as possible.
Maybe I'll use the rest of my lunch hour to get a little fresh (& cold!) air and pick up my repaired shoes.
Of course, cold is relative, and it's a pleasantly warm spring day over here compared to the temperatures HTB is getting. :)
