Verdict on Justified...
Oct. 23rd, 2002 07:08 amNow that I've had a chance to listen to it practically non-stop, and have gotten the giddiness out of my system... I've come to the radical & dramatic conclusion that I like the album! ;)
I most definitely do NOT like Take It From Here. The beat's kinda blah, and the lyrics are so far past corny it's not even funny.
I really, really like Never Again - the poor boy, my heart simply breaks for him every time I listen to it. I also like Nothin' Else, it has a corny line or two, but the lyrics make sense (unlike TIFH), and the melody is decent. I wasn't sure if I was going to like those slower songs at all, but he surprised me.
My favorites of the fast songs are Right For Me and Rock Your Body.
I like all the others (except the previosly mentioned song), but those are my favorties.
I'll be curious to see if the unliked Take It From Here grows on me as time goes by and I listen to it more.
