YAY Friday!! :D
Let's see... I got fitted for new orthotics yesterday. They'll be sent off to the lab and I should get them back in 3 weeks. Then once I'm sure I really like what this podiatrist did for my poor toes, I'll have her make me a second pair for dress shoes. She was really surprised when she called my insurance company and they really did say that I get unlimited 100% paid orthotics. :D I *heart* my insurance! :D
Other news, my sharp stabbing toe pain has happily subsided. The cortisone injection worked nicely. The Dr says we can repeat the injection too if it flares up again in the future.
MrB has finals next week. I am going to be a good wifey and get out of his hair tomorrow so he can study. I'll just have to go shopping. It's a burden, I know, but it's all so he has a nice quiet place to study. Any of you buying that? ;) Yeah, hubby didn't buy it either, but he appreciates the resulting quiet house nonetheless.
I had a hearing test on Tuesday. Evidently my hearing is just fine. My hearing in the low-frequency areas is just on the border between "normal" and "mild hearing loss", it's not bad enough to actually be called a hearing loss, and it's likely the result of all the ear infections I had as a child. My extreme difficulty hearing in noisy places is likely related to my ADHD and my brain's complete inability to tune out any background noise. This also explains why I frequently hear conversations folks are having in three offices down the hall, and I've been told jokingly at work that I have "bat ears". It's good to know I'm not officially hard of hearing, even though in very noisy places (crowded parties, packed restaurants), I'm effectively hard of hearing, especially if the person I'm trying to hear has a soft voice that doesn't carry very well.
For my shopping expedition tomorrow I'm going to get muslin & lining fabric for that great v-neck halter top dress I want to sew. I'm also going to get more of the tracing paper I use to trace out and adjust my sewing patterns. Then I'm going to go to the mall and see what styles/colors/fabrics they have and see what I like and what looks good on me. If I find something that fits, and I love, and isn't too expensive I may actually buy it! :D
Is it Saturday yet?
ETA: I need to make myself a "sewing" icon. And an icon of my cat.

Today was P finding that my sale pens had arrived when he went out to cut wood, and they are so pretty and both are filled and write beYOOtifully!
And OMG it is *wonderful* to find out I'm not alone in having ears like a bat but still not able to understand things if too much is going on. (I have that book on hold at the library, ready for P to pick up. YAY!) I hear *every* *little* *thing* when it's quiet, and they can drive me to tears if there's too much of it, but then I need the tv SO LOUD to be able to hear/understand it. And I love having somebody understand.
Yay sewing! Yes, you need sewing and cat icons!
*love*

It is very nice knowing somebody else that has the same wacky ears I do! :)
It's Friday, it's *gorgeous* outside, it's payday, and I'm in just the bestest mood ever!!
