i simply can *not* be getting married a week from tomorrow...
I have no freaking clue how it snuck up on my so fast.
I'm feverishly making lists and crossing my fingers that I remember to get everything done on time.
This weekend I get to:
-take my dress to the shop where I bought it so it can be pressed
-take my engagement ring to the jewelers for it to be re-plated with rhodium (it's a white gold ring that's starting to yellow)
-let my best friend take me to get facials with her (something I've never done before and am looking forward to)
-arrange to get refills on all my prescriptions (I envision running out of something important while we're enjoying the middle-of-nowhere that we're going to have on our honeymoon at Glacier National Park)
-go buy 2 more bras (I've never taken a 2 week vacation before, and as there are no nice & easy laundry facilities where we're going, I need more)
-work on getting luggage ready (like making sure I have enough trial sizes of things to go in my toiletry bag)
-go over to my folks house to have a combo birthday/father's day dinner for my dad (birthday is on the 21st, father's day is the 17th, and I'm getting married on the 23rd... so we decided to combine his father's day & birthday celebrations)
-cross all my fingers & toes and hope the craft store gets the my special order of small purple fabric ribbon flowers in time for me to finish the favors for the ceremony attendees and the Idaho reception attendees (they only had 3 packs when I bought 1 to see if I liked how the favors would look... I did, and when I went back a couple weeks later to get more, they had *none*)
I know that there's more I'm forgetting.
And I'm in panic-mode at work, trying to get things wrapped up & done before I leave at 3pm on Wednesday (I'm taking off the 2 days before the wedding).
I also really really hope the weather stays nice. Because while my folks' covered patio would be big enough for everyone, it certainly won't be as pretty as in the nicely spruced up corner of the yard.
