Friday Five (cause I'm killing time until it's time to do my next excel training class)
1. What's one thing you've always wanted to do, but never have?
Hmmm.... travel the world. I want to see the Mediterranean, Ireland & the UK, and Japan (or China) especially.
2. When someone asks your opinion about a new haircut/outfit/etc, are you always honest?
Well, I don't out & out lie (mainly because I'm very bad at it). I'm honest about some part of it, if not the entire thing. I do not however, subject the poor people to a direct stream-of-consciousness babble.
3. Have you ever found out something about a friend and then wished you hadn't? What happened?
Not really. Even if I found out something I didn't necessarily like, I was glad I knew what was going on. Other wise you're friends with someone who you don't really know.
4. If you could live in any fictional world (from a book/movie/game/etc.) which would it be and why?
Valdemar! Or, maybe with the Elves somewhere. I always wanted to be an elf. Automatically tall, good at everything, and they live for darn near forever.
5. What's one talent/skill you don't have but always wanted?
Coordination, definitely - I'm such a klutz.
I always wanted to be able to dance, or do gymnastics. But, I just don't have it in me.

Re:
Valdemar is my absolute utter favorite place to be. A new book in that universe, and I'm in heaven.

Re:
I adore Vanyel (both w/Stefan & w/Tylendel). And I also like both the the Mage-Winds & The Mage-Storms trilogies. (Mainly because I love the Elspeth/Darkwind relationship & how she went against everything to do what she knew was right for her).
Down to the wire, gun to the head, I HAD to choose one... um, er, I, uh.... Vanyel, I think. No, um, yes. Vanyel it is.
Re:
I like Mage Winds as well, but more for Nyara and the Griffons than for Elspeth/Darkwind. I love them both, I'm just not that enamored of the pairing.
What about Oathbound, etc.?
Re:
I don't know why, but I started that trilogy & just never really got into it the way I did with the others.
I keep meaning to find it again and re-read it, but I don't own that trilogy and the library here is simply pathetic. And my book wish-list is about 5 miles long. Eventually, I'm sure I'll get around to it.
Re:
Although I may try to coax a few hours of footage-squee out of you.
Re:
oh, like that's hard to do (I squee shamelessly & frequently)
And dude, if you keep stockpiling these reasons in front of me, I just might have to come pay you a visit sooner or later.
And way, way tangential - but I'm still a bit confuzzled... did your LJ name used to be 'justincase'? cause I think I'm still trying to put a face from after Tuesday's concert to your name, and I keep coming up blank.
Re:
I like puns just a little too much.
