new things learned

So evidently the coworker that we started out the day thinking had a brain tumor turns out after a kajillion tests her Drs think that what happend was a reaction to MSG & not a tumor! :)

Evidently MSG can cause severe migraines and strokes, and her brain had signs that she'd had these little MSG-induced strokes previously.

Thank goodness it's not a tumor or anything!!

But yikes on the MSG! I knew some people's digestive systems didn't agree with it, but I had no idea it could give you a stroke!!

I'm so glad it wasn't a tumor! That sounds scary.

I'm really glad too!! The brain's a hard place to operate on so brain tumors/cancer have a really low survival rate.

Dude! I'm glad I never eat MSG - I would probably die.

The really scary thing for me is that I've never really paid attention to whether or not MSG is in something I buy/eat.

I guess I'm going to have to start paying attention though if it can do nasty stuff like that!
