I'm sick.

And not in a fun, twisted sort of way.

I feel rotten. My throat hurts, My head feels like it's been stuffed with cotton (really heavy cotton), and no matter that I've taken sudafed & an antihistamine (to hopefully stop the runny nose), and both kinds of cough medicine (suppressant & expectorant)... I still feel awful. If I had any sick leave accrued up, I'd use it. But as this is only my 5th day on the job, that's not going to happen. All I can do is drug myself up to high heaven, and hope it's enough.

If I had my COBRA insurance information, I might go see a dr. I had a full week of a slightly sore throat. Then I had last week of a little bit of stuffiness & runny nose, plus the slighly sore throat & a raspy/hoarse voice. Today I have a more raspy voice, and more than just a little bit of stuffiness & runny nose.

Aren't I nice for sharing all this with you? ;)

I just want to feel normal. I'm able to medicate pretty much everything except the sore throat. Maybe I'll stop by the store on my way to work and pick something up. I suppose I should go shower & stuff. My coworkers (not that they talk to me or approach me) will appreciate it. Especially my boss who will be returning from vacation today. I wonder what she's going to be training me on?

*hugs* That sounds like what I've been dealing with for the past couple of weeks. I don't know if you've tried Chloraseptic, but a couple people have told me that it helps with the sore throat. I never got around to trying it myself, because I mostly spent time in bed moaning and sucking on cough drops. Oy.

I ended up going to the dr last night, and I got antibiotics (this not-so-little cold ended up turning into an ear/sinus infection).

I should be feeling back to normal in a couple of days.
