Ugh. I have a cold. A sinus infection, actually. Though I'm not sure the doctor I saw last night really agreed with me. But, even if he didn't he gave me an antibiotic (an older, not-so-strong one, but still an antibiotic). Hopefully it'll be strong enough to kick whatever it is that's taken up residence inside my head).
I should know better than to look through catalogs. Online ones that come to my email inbox (like the Land's End catalog that made me buy a swimsuit yesterday) and the paper ones that come in the regular mail. Now I have a new pair of Birkenstocks that I want to buy. They're really nice, and dressy even! I could wear them to work, with slacks & skirts, dresses... and with my regular old khakis & jeans.
::scampers off to hunt down a picture to gack::

Isn't it pretty? Now all I gotta do is come up with the money. I think I'm going to have to wait until after I pay my taxes though. Only so much to go around, you know.

Steaming helps a lot for sinuses.
I like to put a little fresh or dried peppermint, calendula, thyme, and rosemary in a bowl, cover with boiling water, and lean over that with a towel over my head.
You can flush your sinuses with lukewarm saline, and it works *GREAT* for cleaning them out and getting rid of all the gunk, but it's also kind of oogy feeling and takes some getting used to.
*healing vibes*
Oh, do you know about eating yogurt with live cultures or taking acidophilus supplements when you need antibiotics? It reseeds the good bacteria in your gut that the drugs kill and reduces the likelihood of yeast infection as a result of antibiotics.
