The national weather service has a Severe Weather Alert for my local area.

It's currently 21.2°F (-7°C). They're expecting more snow and freezing rain.

The last 2 lines of the Severe Weather Alert are: "ANY TRAVEL IS STRONGLY DISCOURAGED. IF YOU LEAVE THE SAFETY OF BEING INDOORS... YOU ARE PUTTING YOUR LIFE AT RISK."

::wimper::

I hafta go to work today! Granted, they sent everyone home at 4 o'clock yesterday so we could all get home while it was still light out and before the predicted storm arrived. They've also said to be careful coming in this morning. And I don't have to be there until 10am because we're having a training class today.

Y'know what bugs me?

Dang it. I wish I lived in a town that warned me that leaving my house meant risking my life. Sure would make it exciting.
but now I'm sitting at work in what's turning into a 'white-out' blizzard. ...oh dear

Be careful out there!

Luckily, most everybody else actually listened to the national weather service and the roads had almost no one on them.

I had my Dad drive me in to work, and I made it safe & sound!
