YAAAYY!!!
A few nights of OK sleep is a wonderful thing! I'm still waking up a couple times between 3am and 6am, but I've been getting back to sleep easily. :)
My sewing muse has returned!! :D ::happy dances around room::
I am *finished* adjusting my knit dress pattern!! Because I don't want to screw the dress up, I'm going to first use the pattern to make a knit t-shirt (do the dress, but chop it off at high hip level). Then if the shirt turns out ok, I'll do the dress. Otherwise it's more adjusting. :(
I have the knit dress, then a linen shirtdress I started last summer but never got very far on. All I've got done is the pattern highlighting, I haven't even traced the pattern out onto the gridded paper, let alone started any adjustments.
After those two dresses, I want to do a simple unlined jacket. Then there's a nice tank-style sundress I want to do.
:D

This is the knit dress:
The practice t-shirt is going to be out of a black cotton-lycra jersey. The dress is a beautiful cranberry red cotton/lycra jersey.
This is the shirtdress:
I got a nice brown linen for the dress, a comfy brown rayon for the lining.
The jacket:

Just a basic black twill for this jacket. If the pattern works out I have a fine babywale brown & white houndsooth corduroy that I want to make it out of.
The sundress:

I have a nice pretty cotton print for this, with two coordinating ribbons - a wider one and then a narrow one I can layer on top of the wider one.
SQUEEE!! The sewing urge!! It's back! And it's FUN!
Next step - finish washing the black jersey so I can make the t-shirt. Then lots and lots of cutting out.
