YAY - for 4 day workweeks, and for upcoming vacations!!
Got outside this weekend with the folks (who were up visiting for the nice long holiday weekend). We popped over to the other side of the river, explored a new (new to us, anyway) wildlife refuge, soaked in the peacefulness, looked at birds, and had a lovely day. Mom & I also did some prepatory shopping for our upcoming vacation.
I leave on Saturday (for Eugene), then we get on the plane to go to New Orleans & Florida bright & early Tuesday morning! I'm excited about having a vacation, but not so excited by the time we have to get up to make it to the airport on time. I'm traveling with my mom, who I like a lot, really, but she's also paranoid when it comes to getting somewhere on time. So she wants to get to the airport 3 hours before our flight leaves. Not a huge deal... but our flight leaves at 7:40am! I'm gonna have to get my ass out of bed at 4am! I am not pleased by this. At least I get a vacation out of it.
And I have tonight, tomorrow night, and Friday night to try and get ready for vacation. I hate trying to pack for somewhere where you can get literally any kind of weather known to man. I think I'm ok assuming that it won't snow. Everything else I get to try and pack for.
Fun.
And work is really way too damn boring today. Plus? Today's the nicest day of the week. And I'm stuck inside. In a windowless office no less! At least I'm not forced to gaze out a window at the marvelous weather I'm missing out on. I think I'm going to go for a walk down on the river at lunch today. Which is in 15 minutes... yippee!
