SQUEEEEEEE!!
I'm finally joining the rest of the 21st century and getting myself a digital camera. I want a nice new one for our honeymoon this summer.
After much research I decided on the Canon PowerShot A710.
Here's a review of the camera.
It takes AA batteries (which I want, so I can run into any little podunk store in the middle of nowhere and get new batteries for it), and it has a viewfinder (which I also want because I hear it can be difficult when you have nothing but an LCD screen on a bright sunny day).
It also has gotten some good reviews, and can be totally 100% automatic or I can go all photogeek and make it all manual (not that I have a clue how to do that).
But so HTB & I both know how to take really good pictures when we go on our honeymoon this summer, we're going to take a Digital Photography class together this spring where they'll teach us about all this stuff & how to really use our cameras. HTB is going to upgrade his camera to something that's a bigger & heavier version of the one I'm going to get (he wants a Canon S3).
The good part is that they both take normal AA batteries, and they both take SD cards so we won't have to worry about carrying different kinds of cards around.
