It's Monday. But for a Monday, it's not bad...
A fabulous weekend was had! :D
My weekened in summary:
-HTB arrived in town Thursday night.
-A spur of the moment trip was taken up to Portland to Fry's late Friday afternoon after I decided to get off work early (@ 3:30).
Much reassurance was gained by me about the kind of computer I'll be able to afford come January & my 'extra' paycheck. Thankfully HTB was with me to remind me that I had to wait until I actually had the money before the computer could come home with me. Who me? Impulse issues? Never! ;)
-A nice lazy Saturday was had. Thought about going for a hike, but it started raining. Seriously raining. So we decided to stay home and do some errands. Which of course meant that it didn't rain any more the rest of the day. Some grocery shopping was done. Some visiting with my parents was done.
My folks showed us how the greathugeginormous plant (pampas grass) that used to take up a huge corner of their yard is in the process of being removed.
And rather than attempt to redesign/plan the area themselves, they're letting HTB & I do so!! :D
So we get to plan & design the area how we want it for our wedding there in a bit over a year and a half. My folks'll buy all the plants & stuff. Though I've been told that we will contribute a bit of manual labor towards the project.
So now I get to sit & think about howI we want it designed, what kind of plants we want in there, and all that other fun stuff!
-Sunday was fun. Busy, but fun. The mushroom festival & plant sale was attended. A huckleberry plant came home with us! It's a shade plant so it should do marvelously well on our apartment deck. HTB's old desk was retrieved from the upstairs of his brother's house & donated to St Vincent's. Freddy's & OfficeMax were browsed for narrow & tall computer desks. 2 trips to Home Depot & 1 to a local home improvement store were made. HTB's torchiere lamps where then both functioning & make the living room lots brighter.
Tonight when I get home HTB will not be there. :( But I have 3 day weekend the weekend after next, that I've made into a 4-day weekend and I'm going to take a road trip east to go see him. :)
Tonight's endevours:
laundry, dishes, vacuum deck of birdseeds, and... something else I can't remember at the moment.
